family new02The Otis Davis Family

Otis and Susan, married 34+ years with three daughters, Christine, Holly, and Leslie, have owned and operated various enterprises over the last 32+ years. Upon the girls’ college graduation, the family created a Christian education company, realizing the challenge was to live, work, and get along. They developed this biblical model to help unify their family. The Davis’s love what they do and have a passion to share Christ. They feel their productions can serve as a tool to build and improve existing relationships.

Otis and Susan Davis graduated from college, became realtors, and became Christians all in the same year. They worked in real estate for thirty-six years, but Susan states that since the mid-nineties, they had been feeling that God had something else planned for them. Not that real estate wasn’t a good business for the family; in fact, it opened many doors for the family to travel. Otis and Susan are no longer selling real estate full time, since it ties the family to Portales, but they do still have rental property, which has provided the financial foundation to propel the family into this ministry.

Christine Davis graduated from Eastern New Mexico University in 2000 and, after trying to get a corporate job for eight months, she decided that it was not God’s will. Christine then became instrumental in forming Matthew 6:33 Academy. Holly graduated from ENMU in 2001; she decided to stay in Portales and pursue working with the family as well. Over a period of time, it became evident to the Davis’ that the Lord was calling them into family ministry. Leslie was still in college and thought she wanted to be a doctor. Soon, however, she began to see she was “missing out” and decided to join the family ministry. Finally in 2005, Leslie graduated from college, and the ministry was free to go wherever God led.
